The title came from 鉄 (iron), 筋 (muscle), コンクリート (concrete).
I saw the trailer few weeks ago. And was really amazed with the detail of the background. It's just too awesome. Reminds me of the style of this person.
However the story is not to my liking, and even worse the character style.
I finally got time to watch it today, however I don't have the subtitle... =___= And the voice is a bit unstable. So I didn't understand it very fully.
The story is about Kuro (black) and Shiro (white). They are known as Neko (cat). They are both orphan and they live together as partners. The seiyuu is actually pretty famous, though I don't really know their faces. Kazunari Ninomiya from Arashi and Yu Aoi who played Hagu in Honey Clover Movie. Kuro likes to call the city, Takaramachi as his own city. Takaramachi means treasure city. I like the city. It was a mix of Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Thailand, plus Indonesian (there's "Wayang Kulit" in one of the scene).
One
day Yakuza came to their city. Kuro hates them for taking over his
city. He decided to go to their place and attack them. However, one of
the yakuza decided to call a guy who looks like an alien, asking him
for help. The alien guy attacked Kuro and Shiro. Shiro got hurt, and
Kuro felt that he couldn't protect Shiro. So he decided for the police
to take care of Shiro. However, Kuro gets more violent as Shiro left
his side. Shiro also misses Kuro so much, they both went mad. The alien
tried to kill Kuro again, but some masked guy saved him. He resides in
Kuro and asked Kuro to join him in the darkness. But Kuro chose Shiro
and they both move out of the city and live by the sea peacefully.
I thought that the brotherly love and the need-ness of those two of each other is very lovely. I thought Shiro was a girl, from the trailer. Hehe, but he was a boy. Yes, another slash! They're not bijin, though.
My favourite scene was the one in the bath house, haha, I'm a pervert. That's the scene where I realized he's a boy.
And the animated city is just too awesome. It has this painting effect and oldies theme, but moved in 3D. I want to draw backgrounds like that...
